TEHRAN - Hundreds of artisans from across Iran will show their works at a major sales exhibition, which will be held days before Noruz, the new Iranian year, at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds.

The exhibition will be running from March 6 to 9 in halls number 8 to 11, featuring variety of souvenirs, woodwork, miniature, textile printing, enamel, leatherwork, calligraphy, metalwork, mirrorwork, marquetry, illuminated manuscripts, potteries, ceramics, and rugs amongst others, Mehr reported.

Noruz, which usually falls on March 21st every year, marks the beginning of spring across a vast geographical area encircling Iran.

Iran’s handicrafts exports reached $190 million in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2018), showing 11 percent growth year on year.
